
Till Brönner is one of the most prominent figures in German jazz. Born on May 6, 1971, in Viersen, West Germany, Brönner has become Germany's leading jazz trumpeter and the country's best-selling jazz artist of all time. Not only is he a trumpeter and flügelhornist, but he also shines as a singer, composer, arranger, producer, and photographer.

Brönner honed his craft by studying jazz trumpet at the College of Music in Cologne, where he studied under renowned teachers such as Prof. Malte Burba and Bobby Shew. He also received a classical trumpet education at the Jesuit boarding school Aloisiuskolleg. His professional career lifted off when he became a member of the Peter Herbolzheimer Rhythm Combination & Brass from 1989 to 1991 and served as the solo trumpeter for the RIAS Big Band Berlin starting at the age of 20.
Brönner’s debut album, "Generations of Jazz," was released in 1993 and featured collaborations with Ray Brown and Jeff Hamilton. Since then, he has released over 20 studio albums, several of which have achieved gold status. His album "That Summer" (2004) notably reached No. 16 on the German pop charts, establishing him as the best-selling jazz musician in Germany’s history.

Known for his outstanding virtuosity, Till Brönner is often referred to as the "German Chet Baker." His style is influenced by a wide array of genres, including bebop, fusion jazz, modern pop music, movie soundtracks, and country music, with Freddie Hubbard and Chet Baker serving as primary inspirations for his trumpet playing.
Brönner has collaborated with several international artists, such as Dave Brubeck, Tony Bennett, and Melody Gardot. His talent and influence have been recognized with multiple ECHO Jazz Awards and a Grammy nomination in 2009 for 'Best instrumental Jazz solo.'
Brönner has contributed to various other musical projects, including composing and producing an album for Hildegard Knef in 1999 and writing soundtracks for documentaries like "Jazz Seen." He also contributed his trumpet talent to Yello's album "Touch Yello" in 2009.
In 2009, Brönner was appointed as a professor at the College of Music Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. Additionally, he has pursued a passion for photography, focusing on portrait photography using a Leica M camera, and published an illustrated book titled "Faces of Talent" in 2014.

Brönner has served as a jury member and mentor on the casting show "X Factor" and partnered with German menswear company Eduard Dressler as their testimonial since 2013.
He has graced stages across the globe, with performances at Carnegie Hall, Blue Note Jazz Club in Tokyo, and events like International Jazz Day. Notably, he also performed at the White House for Barack Obama during International Jazz Day in 2016.
