Neville Jacobs

Neville Jacobs

Neville Jacobs is a dynamic collaborative project between Ivan Neville and Cris Jacobs, merging diverse musical backgrounds to create a unique sound. Their collaboration originated from a chance meeting at a poker table during the New Orleans Jazz Fest. Ivan Neville brings his New Orleans musical heritage as the son of Aaron Neville and experience with The Neville Brothers and The Meters, while Cris Jacobs contributes his Baltimore-based roots and past involvement with the band The Bridge.

Formation and Band Lineup

After years of crossing paths, Neville and Jacobs finally convened to form Neville Jacobs. Through a successful crowdfunding campaign that raised over $16,000 in 2015, they solidified their musical partnership. The band comprises several talented members:

  • Ivan Neville (keyboards, vocals)
  • Cris Jacobs (guitar, vocals)
  • Tony Hall (bass) from Dumpstaphunk, previously collaborated with Bob Dylan and David Byrne
  • Brady Blade (drums), renowned for playing with Emmylou Harris and Dave Matthews
