
Moses Boyd is a dynamic British jazz drummer, composer, record producer, bandleader, and radio host, celebrated for his genre-defying sound. Born on April 30, 1991, in Catford, South London, his heritage roots trace back to the Caribbean, with Dominican and Jamaican influences shaping his cultural and musical perspective.
Boyd's journey into music began in his teenage years, receiving instruction from renowned drummer Bobby Worth at Sedgehill School. This foundational training was followed by further skill development at the Tomorrow's Warriors program and eventual graduation with a degree in jazz drums from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

At just 25, Boyd became a key figure in the new wave of UK jazz. His innovative sound marries traditional jazz with elements of grime, afrobeats, and electronic music, rooted deeply in black music traditions such as soca, reggae, calypso, and Afrobeat. Boyd's evolving artistry was spotlighted through his formation of the duo Binker & Moses with saxophonist Binker Golding in 2014.
