Karl Denson's Tiny Universe (KDTU) is an American funk and jazz band led by renowned saxophonist, flutist, and vocalist Karl Denson. Formed in 1998, KDTU has become celebrated for their energetic live performances and eclectic music style, a vibrant mix of funk, jazz, rock, and R&B.
Karl Denson was born on December 27, 1956, in Santa Ana, California, and raised in Orange County. He began playing the saxophone in middle school and quickly formed a passion for blending funk with Latin sounds.
