In his early 20s, he embarked on tours across Europe, Japan, and the Caribbean, collaborating with various New Orleans-based jazz, blues, and funk artists.

Doug Belote's versatility is evident from the over 100 albums he has recorded. Currently residing in New Orleans, he regularly tours with 12-time Grammy winner Jerry Douglas. Integral to his appeal is his distinct "between the cracks" feel, which sets him apart in a multitude of musical genres.
