The trio formed in February 2020 when Moses met Roman at Berlin's Jazz Institute and suggested they include Noah, who was studying in Mannheim at the time. The pandemic lockdowns provided an opportunity for them to dive deep into the creative process, which contributed to their early development. Their rehearsals, shared on social media platforms in January 2021, helped expand their audience significantly.
The Moses Yoofee Trio produces a sound characterized by soulful melodies, rich harmonies, and engaging rhythms, drawing influence from a blend of jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and soul.
