JJ Sansaverino was raised in a musically rich environment in New York. His family boasted diverse musical talents, from his grandfather, a renowned singer in the Lower East Side, to his grandmother, an opera singer who studied at Juilliard. His uncles were part of a Doo Wop band named Memories.
His musical journey began early, starting with the trumpet and violin at age 11, before transitioning to the guitar at age 13. Influences like Santana, Hendrix, Jazz, Motown, and Doo-Wop were pivotal in shaping his style.
He honed his craft at Berklee College of Music in Boston, graduating cum laude with a focus on Commercial Arranging.
