Beware of Darkness is an American rock band renowned for their dynamic blend of alternative rock, indie rock, blues rock, hard rock, and garage rock. Formed in 2010 in Santa Barbara, California, the band drew inspiration for their name from George Harrison's iconic 1970 song "Beware of Darkness." Known for their electrifying live performances, the band's music resonates with introspective lyrics and the distinctive vocal style of lead singer Kyle Nicolaides.
The inception of Beware of Darkness can be traced back to the vibrant Santa Barbara music scene where Kyle Nicolaides, having played with bands like The Martyrs and Siren Son, decided to move to Los Angeles for further opportunities. It was after a solo acoustic show in downtown Los Angeles that Nicolaides met drummer Tony Cupito. Soon after, they were joined by bassist Daniel Curcio during his visit to Santa Monica. The band quickly signed with Bright Antenna Records, marking the beginning of their professional journey.
Beware of Darkness made their mark with a compelling discography that showcased their versatile sound:

The debut album, Orthodox, was a reception hit and was described as a "densely packed, no-holds-barred 12-song collection," illustrating Nicolaides' strong songwriting prowess.
Gaining a reputation for their high-energy performances, Beware of Darkness had the opportunity to tour with acclaimed bands like Social Distortion and The Wombats. Their stage presence and musical intensity garnered a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim within the rock music scene.
The band announced their breakup on March 19, 2020. However, showing gratitude to their fans, they released two new songs, "Millennials" and "Infinite In Your Arms," exactly one year later.
